The Paycheck Protection Program is providing financial relief to millions of small businesses across the country during the pandemic. As part of National Small Business Week, we're highlighting a few of the inspiring entrepreneurs who have kept workers on the payroll as a result of the program.
Since March, MEDC COVID-19 response programs have provided support to more than 18,500 businesses in all 85 Michigan counties, helping to retain more than 147,000 jobs for Michigan workers. More than $100 million has been allocated through the Michigan Small Business Restart Program alone, supporting businesses across the state impacted by COVID-19, and helping to retain more than 97,000 Michigan jobs.

A total of 2,879 Michigan small businesses have been awarded a total of $20 million in grants and loans through the Michigan Small Business Relief Program. Launched to provide relief for small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, the program supports small businesses facing drastic reductions in cash flow and the continued support of their workforce.
